Manuel Delgado Brackenbury, a military born in Las Cabezas de San Juan (Seville), is considered the main sculptor of the Exhibition, despite his otherwise modest production.
His first works in collaboration with Coullaut Valera were four of the eight winged victories on display at the Plaza de América, four allegories of the facade of the Pavilion of Fine Arts, and the groups Science and Work of the Glorieta de las Estatuas (after Covadonga). He also designed the Fountain of Los Leones in the Maria Luisa Park.
Due to his professional affinity for Cruz Conde, he received important commissions such as the Hispania in the center of the San Diego monument, the Four Seasons fountain (formerly a gateway), and the Seville fountain, also called “Fuente de los meones” at the Puerta de Jerez. Noteworthy is also that he made the saber of honor presented to Rodríguez Caso in his tribute.
